SUMMER OUTREACH
Bluff City Outreach Ministries (BCOM) has partnered with the Memphis Office of Youth Services (MOYS) for the Back On Track and All My Children programs; helping to prepare at-risk youth for the future.
BCOM’s founder, Marrio Holpe, has been training and mentoring young men and women nationwide for 15 years, and this year he facilitated the 2020 MOYS Virtual Summer Program of over 60 youth from Shelby County Juvenile Court's Hope Academy and foster care.
BCOM AN ADVOCATE FOR OUR YOUTH
We would like to express our thanks and gratitude for each individual that takes the time out of their busy schedule to support our outreach endeavors.
Bluff City Outreach Ministries
Our Mission
Bluff City Outreach Ministries (BCOM) is a fundraising work program created to promote growth and wholeness in the lives of misguided youth and change in our city and throughout the Mid-South.
We want to inspire hope and motivation to young men and women, demonstrating that no matter where you are in life, with God, faith, self-discipline, good work ethics and integrity, you can rise above your circumstances.
We teach youth that there is still hope in this sometime seemingly hopeless world. We know that many of these young men and women don’t have the positive role models or influences in their lives, so our program removes them from their poverty stricken environment and gives them the opportunity to meet and communicate with successful, positive people by going door-to-door and business-to-business.
In our work program, young men and women learn the importance of communication skills and improving self confidence. We have meetings every morning, teaching on how to overcome rejection with a smile and not giving up on your goals. It is vital for these future community leaders and entrepreneurs to remain positive when facing difficult situations.
We encourage our customers to partner with us in empowering these young people to overcome the obstacles blocking their paths on their road to success. With the proceeds earned from our cotton products, we pay wages to each person enrolled in the program. We provide room and board, transportation, and resources throughout the Mid-South.
We would like to express our thanks and gratitude for each individual that takes the time out of their busy schedule to support our outreach endeavors.
